Urban Decay | Smoky Palette.

I received the Urban Decay Smoky palette about 3 weeks ago. I can easily say, it's by far my favourite palette from the Urban Decay range. I always tend to go for a smoky eye, so I knew i would completely fall in love with it!

There are a lot more shimmery shades in this palette, which at first I was a little sceptical about, as I would normally prefer matte (due to the shimmer going everywhere) but I can't fault this palette one bit. It's just incredible!
This look is by far, my most favourite and I get a lot of compliments when I do go for this. Even my boyfriend says how incredible my eyes look and I mean, come on, do guys really notice when you change your shadows?

First of all, I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion and apply to my eyes which will help keep my eye shadow from creasing and give a longer lasting look!  Next, I take Combust, which is a taupe shade and I apply that as a base to my lids. I then take Slanted (Metallic grey) which I apply to the crease of my eyes. After that, I take Armor (metallic silver) and start applying that to the inner and outer corners of my eyes, leaving a space in the middle which I will then fill with Dirtysweet (bronze). Blend and reapply until you are happy with your finished look. A great dupe for Dirtysweet is Barry M's Bronze Gold which I use more so on nights out to give a more dramatic finish.

Then I start with my normal make up routine, beginning with my LOreal Paris Superstar Eye Liner and on this look I done just a small flick at the corner of my eyes.  Staying with eye liners, on my waterline I use Rimmel London Kohl Eye Pencil in Jet Black which I am still trying out but I am quite liking this product so far. Finally I apply L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara on my top and lower lashes.

To complete my look, I go back to my palette and take Armor and using an angled brush put it under my lower lash line. And ta-da, my finished eye look. You may add fake eyelashes which I would of done if had any handy at the time.

Let me know what your favourite smoky eye look is. I'd love to know!

February Favourites

I can't quite believe it's almost March already. This year seems to be flying by so far so here are my February monthly favourites!  I have already mentioned three of these products in other blogs so i'll link down below where to find these instead of repeating myself again.

Colab dry shampoo and Chanel perfume | More information on these items and links to buy can be found by clicking here.

Fleur de Force | The Glam Guide | More information on this book and links to buy can be found here.

Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick | This is probably one of the most perfect red lipsticks I have ever owned! It has a stick applicator which as you can see is a lot different to other lipsticks you've seen before. It glides on smoothly and dries matte. I wore this out one night and it didn't budge at all. I am just in love with this perfect lipstick! This comes in different colours too so definitely go and check the rest out!

Soap and Glory Arch de Triumph| Eyebrow and Highlighter | I purchased this quite a while ago now and completely forgot I had it! During all of February I haven't had a day when I haven't used this. I have quite light eyebrows so I found it difficult to find a eyebrow product which didn't make me look like a clown! This though is the perfect shade for me and I highly recommend this, along with it's highlighter which gives your brow bone the perfect lift it needs.

GOSH Liquid Gel Eyeliner | I wasn't sure when I bought this product as I usually buy high end products but it was 2 for £10 so I couldn't really go wrong. I purchased the black and purple liquid gel eyeliner, and I haven't stopped using them since. The black liner is in my everyday makeup routine and it stays on the whole day! It takes a while to get off too it's that good, I am in love with this and I recommend it even as a starter eyeliner for someone who hasn't used liquid eyeliner before!

Ted Baker Purse | Unfortunately I can't find this online but Ted Baker do a gorgeous range of purses which are just as perfect as the one I have. I go through purses a lot so I knew with my Christmas money I had to buy an expensive one that would last me a long time. I searched for a good month before I found this beauty! It's the perfect size and rose gold, what more could a girl ask for?

My Valentines day gift | This may just look like a plain blue book to you, but to me this is the most thoughtful gift I have ever received. My boyfriend is a singer/songwriter and every weekend when I watch him perform I usually ask about what songs they were and what they were about. Now, I don't need to do that. He has wrote down for me all the songs he has ever written, well the good ones, and wrote about the people who inspire him the most when songwriting. Also, there is a few love letters in there too. What a sweetheart. I will always keep this close to my heart. You can check him out on Soundcloud and Youtube.

December Glossy Box | Reveal and Review

This month's glossy box wasn't so impressive, well for myself anyway! But here's my reveal and review of this month's glossy box and the products which i love and dislike.

This product is from Beautiful Movement Cosmetics and the price of this small nude and compact lip gloss is £12. I do like this lip gloss actually, it is a little light for me though. I tend to blend it in with my dark lipsticks which i wear at night so it turns a little lighter and looks acceptable to wear in the day time. Over all, nice product but i don't think i will buy it once it runs out, i will stick to the lip glosses which i know will suit me! 6/10.

I was very excited about this product, yeah i know it is just a razor but i did need a new one which was a little more expensive and would help my skin as it's sensitive. This may look like an electric razor, but it's not, around the razor is a soap bar and a razor in the middle. You can buy the soap and razor pack in your high street stores. This is £6.49 which i think is great for this product! 10/10.

This is the only product i haven't tried out yet. The little card that comes with this glossy box says it gives a satin smooth finish. I will do a separate blog for this though in the next few days showing the results! This is £9.95 for a 14ml bottle.

This Lipsy 'Glam' perfume is absolutely gorgeous! For me personally it's a strong fruity smell, which i adore and couldn't stop spraying this when i first got it. Going to go out and buy the bottle as well! For people who don't like strong perfume's this might not be for you, but you could go into Lipsy and try it for yourself! This is £25 from Lipsy. 9/10.

I wanted to cry when i opened my Glossy Box and seen this lying there. I got this bought for me in September and i done a review of it HERE. This is my favourite eye shadow by far but i just wish i got another colour! It's fine having two though, but was a little disappointed with this, obviously not there fault though as they never knew i had it! 7/10.

I got the lighter one to start off with as its more the colours i wear on a day to day basis!
