Top 10 Favourites of 2014.

Ted Baker Purple Lipstick

In 2014 I didn't buy a lot of products like I usually do. So, thinking of 10 products I loved in 2014 was proven difficult but then I realised one thing, I just had to go to my handbag and the rest fell into place.

Make Up | Dark purple last year was my main makeup essential and I couldn't leave the house on a night out without having statement purple lips! I also received just lately the gorgeous shade 'Beauty Marked' and it quickly became my favourite eyeshadow owned, along with 'Soft & Gentle' which is the best highlighter I have used to date and get a lot of compliments when I use it.

Clothes & Handbag | I love to wear statement pieces and especially this winter I have loved wearing chunky boots and massive scarfs. I don't tend to wear bright colours so my tartan scarf is something I can't leave the house without. I think everyone should own one as it adds a pop of colour to every outfit.
My 'Cromia' Handbag is something I can't live without. I got this as a present from my parents when they went on holiday to Italy in June and I haven't stopped using it since. It's the perfect size and can fit all my main essentials I need daily. I can't find this bag online but definitely check out Cromia's website as you wont be disappointed.

Perfume | I have ranted and raved about wanting this perfume and finally for Christmas I received 'Daisy Dream'. I can't even begin to explain my love for this! It's smells so fresh and feminine and you should definitely go out and try it for yourself!

Books | 'Girl Online' by Zoe Sugg only came out on the 25th of November but it's by far one of my favourite books. I couldn't put this book down and sat up until 4am one morning as I had to see how it ended. Now that's a sign of a good book. I wont give the plot away so I'll leave you to read it for yourself.

Apple 5th Gen Ipod | Apple products are a hit and a miss with some people, you either love them or hate them. Myself on the other hand love their products. I can't live without my ipod, I take it everywhere with me not just for the music but also for the apps. Kim Kardashian's game 'Hollywood' is my favourite app of last year as there's something about being an A Lister that brings me back to play more.

What are your favourites of 2014?

New Year, New Me | New Year Resolutions 2015.

Every year I write resolutions for myself and just throw them away after a month thinking I'll sort myself out. Wrong.

This year I'm taking a new approach to things and writing 4 small things to change and then 1 massive one. I know then this way I'll definitely stick to them and feel better about myself.

4 small things

Declutter my life | That's not just throwing stuff out and getting rid of the old to make room for the new. That also means getting rid of the negative people in my life too.

Eat healthy | I started this last year and I felt amazing.. well for the month I was healthy. This year I have the motivation and going to stick to it.

Blog more | I completely gave up with blogging as I didn't like the photos I took, the things I wrote and had no motivation to sort my blog out. I feel like it's going somewhere already.

Love myself | I don't like the way I look, and point out the tiniest of flaws which probably nobody else sees. I need to realise I can't look like that model or actress on the TV and love me for who I am.

The BIG one

Don't take things to heart |This might be stupid but this is a massive thing for me. I always say that nothing bothers me, but in fact, it does. A lot. So, I'm going to stop listening to peoples negativity and think for myself. If it makes me happy then that is all that matters. I need to put myself and happiness first for once and stop letting people get into my head and change my opinions on things that mean a lot to me.

It's the 3rd of January now and so far so good! I hope I keep this up and don't get lazy and throw them to the side again. Good luck with yours!

Glossy Box Reveal.

I can't believe it's been a year since my first glossy box! So I thought I'd do a glossy box reveal, since I haven't done one in a while!
For once I have received a glossy box full of stuff which I will actually use and not just shove in the bottom of my make up drawer to forget about! So here is a description of what I got and the prices!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Minteral Lipstick.

I've never heard of this brand before so I'm excited to try this lipstick out! This is in the shade Cat Walk, it's more of a peach shade but got pink shimmer tones through it. I think this is beautiful and glides on your lips gorgeously! This is perfect for summer as it includes Vitamin C and Vitamin E and also protects lips against the sun, which most people forget to do, as lips can burn to!

Colour Club | Glossy Seal

I have never owned or seen a shade like this before! I completely fell in love with it when I opened up my box this month! I only applied one coat and it looked flawless but an extra few coats wouldn't harm either! I'm going to wear this to work now and hope that it doesn't chip, and keep you posted on it. This is a glossy box exclusive but why not go on and look at all the shades, I'll be definitely buying more!

 ABSOLUTE New York Eyeshadow Primer

This is the second eye shadow primer I own. My go to primer is the Urban Decay Primer Potion so I'm definitely going to try this and see if this is just as good! This is a cheaper alternative so yet again I will keep you updated on what I think of it.

Carmex Lip Balm

This wont be a stranger to most of you as this is a very popular lip balm. This is my go-to lip balm as I don't particularly like Vaseline, It's just too slimy and greasy for my liking.  So excited to have another tin to keep in my handbag! The link I'm leaving to buy it has a 3 for 2 on Carmex at the moment so definitely check that out!

Dr Bronner's Magic Liquid Soap

I've not used this yet, but might give it a bash and see what's it's like. It doesn't smell the nicest but it's full of organic products and also safe to use on babies too! So it must not be that bad!

Have you used OR going to use any of these products?

Hollywood Ending | Anywhere Tour 2014 | Review.

It feels like I've just started to go back to reality after the McBusted tour, with Hollywood Ending supporting and then i was back on a train for 3 and a half hours to see and meet Hollywood Ending on their 'Anywhere' tour.  Here is a review of the Meet & Greet and Live Performance!

VIP.

Waiting outside the Glasgow O2 ABC in the roasting heat with my leather jacket on wasn't the brightest idea, but luckily i had my denim dress and pink and black vans to make up for the sweaty mess i felt like i was in. A 2 hour wait with friends felt like forever, so we bought a Scottish flag to waste time and wrote our twitter names on it. How original, i know!

The VIP crowd finally got called in, i was in no way nervous about meeting them as after all they are just normal people, but the atmosphere of the crowd and the fans shaking with nerves did pass on to me, and for the first time ever i was started to shake like a 12 year old fan girl!

As we walked in to the O2 it instantly felt calming, after the stress though of not being able to find a pen for them to sign my ticket, but a lovely girl passed us her gold pen, and for some reason i'm pretty sure we never gave it back, sorry! I walked up to Tyler, and he greeted me with the biggest hug, then to Cameron, Chris and finally Dan! They each complimented me with what i was wearing and my tattoo, and even Chris sang lyrics from their song Freak like me as i was the 'real rock chick wearing red lipstick'. I  had my favourite black snapback with gold spikes on, i just bought it but i thought id shove it on Tyler's head for our group photo! My friend Amy, even managed for us to get a second group photo, how lucky! I walked back over and told Tyler he could keep my snapback, and i'd just get another one! He was the sweetest and wouldn't stop hugging me and kept making sure i wasn't making a mistake by giving it to him, even got a cheeky kiss on the cheek to! (Photo's inserted below).

They done a quick 1 song acoustic set, and got a cheeky wink of Tyler as he walked on wearing my hat, and placed our flag on their drum kit for the remainder of their gig, i swear they had a thing for us!

GIG REVIEW.

They kicked of the night with their song Don't let me down and it got the whole crowd jumping and singing at the top of their lungs! They then performed songs from their Anywhere EP which was a crowd pleaser, and even added in a fan favourite, The Grocery Store Rap.

It was very up close and personal and the banter was flowing among the lads, they even got the fans interacting with them and each other! At one point Cameron even stripped which got ever girl in the room's heart racing! It was the hottest gig i have attended and i wasn't sure if it was because i was sweating or the fact the lads were grabbing fans and singing to them, we were all covered in their sweat, but none of us could complain!

If you want to go to a small, intimate gig then definitely give Hollywood Ending a look at! I'll leave all links down below, and links to the youtube videos i took while at the gig!

McBusted | The Ultimate Super Group | Glasgow Gig Review.

McFly and Busted got together last year and announced they'd be joining forces as a super group. With a lot of mixed reviews from McFly fans, myself included, i wasn't too sure if i liked the idea that my favourite band were stepping down from McFly and stepping up and giving all their time to Mcbusted. Charlie Simpson for personal reasons didn't want to join Mcbusted so Matt Willis and James Bourne really had to prove themselves and show that Mcbusted wasn't only going to jeopardise their careers but McFly's careers too!

I was lucky enough to attend 3/4 Glasgow dates on the Mcbusted tour, and this is my honest opinion on what i thought. There are still 4 dates to go on this tour, so if you live in England or Ireland you still have your chance to grab a last minute ticket and step on the Mcbusted band waggon!

*This contains spoilers*

The show opened with 2005 footage of Busted's split, and Charlie Simpson leaving the band. Matt and James had other ideas, and went back to the future, to join forces with McFly. McFly coming bursting through the stage floor (literally) while James and Matt come flying in on a DeLorean car. The crowd went crazy as they opened the show with Air Hostess. It was truly a magical experience to watch two fan bases come together as one, and dance the night away to old hits.

They played hits like, Year 3000, 5 Colours in Her Hair, Obviously, Who's David, Shine a Light and Thunderbirds Are Go. They also performed the hit "I Want You Back" by The Jackson Five, which had the crowd go into a frenzy as Danny Jones, Matt Willis and James Bourne showed a different side to them and done a choreographed dance to the hit and also shot McBusted t-shirts into the crowd through a T-shirt shooter, which on the last Glasgow date, exploded. Nobody was hurt though, thankfully!

Half way through the show they appeared on a UFO which transformed into a second stage. It got fans at the back closer to them which proved a crowd pleaser! Especially as front row tickets, aka, OMFG cost £160. A little pricey but 100% worth it.

There were hilarious jokes, a McBusted Pyramid and crowd interaction shared between the lads, and some video footage from Tom Fletcher's wedding speech which was hi-jacked by Matt and James, and also Dougie dressed as a clown.

As the ending came to a close, Matt Willis appeared in a wedding dress for Crashed The Wedding, which had us all in fits of laughter, then followed by All About you, a slow, emotional song to slowly close the show. Obviously it didn't end on a low point, they ended with Year 3000, had the whole crowd jumping and dancing along. A very uplifting number to end a phenomenal show!

All three shows i went to had a fantastic atmosphere, which isn't unusual for a McFly show, so i wasn't expecting it to be any different for McBusted. I'm sad to to see it all come to an end but happy that we could possibly have McFly going back and doing their own shows soon!

Did you go to a McBusted show? Which one? Did you enjoy it?

Urban Decay | Naked 3 Pallete | Real or Fake?

There are so many sellers these days selling fake products, and recently i was in the middle of it all. I received the Naked 3 Palette as a gift and opened the package to realise that it was a fake. I contacted Amazon straight away, and the company who sold the palette ( i wont mention the seller as they have now removed the naked 3 pallete) and luckily i got a great response, got a full refund and an apology. I was one of the lucky ones that actually got good treatment from the seller, most people don't.

So, I've decided to do a blog post on this. How to tell if it's fake and for you to check that your naked 3 palette is not a fake (here's hoping, not!).

At first, you can see straight away that the boxes are a different size. You always get a free gift with Urban Decay, Naked Palettes, and with my fake one i never, that is why it's noticeably skinnier (top box) and the bottom one is slightly larger. The free product with the 3rd palette was, 4 different samples of eyeshadow primer potions. (sorry about my lighting in the photos, the sun kept going away).

The back of the packaging is noticeably different as well. The real box has the samples of the free product on the back and the fake one doesn't (top box). Also the purple rose design on the inside is more like purple blobs in the fake one to. It is a very good fake though, the exact same text on the back and the fake one even has a serial number, so be aware, they can look real when in fact they aren't!

Thirdly, The inside of the palette is the biggest give away that it's a fake. The fake is a lot more pinkier than the real palette, the writing in the fake is bolder and a different font. Also, even though the eyeshadows look the same, they aren't! The fake eyeshadow actually made my eyes very sore, and itchy. So straight after this post i am dumping it!

Last but not least, i thought i'd share 3 more images just to show you examples of how different they look when they are shown together! I really hope you aren't caught out by fake sellers! If you have noticed by reading this post that yours is fake, let the seller know and ask for a full refund. I would hate to see someone take money of you for something which isn't legit!

Lauren Conrad : Beauty Book Review.

Ever since i was young i've always been fascinated in make up. I used to steal my Mum's make up and then when i was about 12 i bought my first two make up products, eyeliner and black eye shadow. I remember feeling so grown up and looking like a goth! I didn't know how to put it on so i just shoved my finger in the eye shadow and smeared it all over my eyelids. I must of looked some picture. Over the years though i taught myself to do different techniques, learnt what contouring was and knew which make up looks suited me and which didn't.

Recently though i picked up Lauren Condrad's beauty book. If only this was out when i was younger i wouldn't of looked like such a clown! I've been into make up now for almost 9 years now and even then buying this book showed me techniques i'd never thought of doing before.

It has everything from finding out your face would suit, healthy eating tips, fitness tips, hair tips and even how to pluck your eyebrows right. This book has it all and is great for learners and even more experienced.

This is a definite must buy if you are a beauty lover like myself. You can buy this anywhere from your local book store to online.
