Purple Smokey Eye | Blogmas | Day Eighteen & Nineteen.

First off, I've been bad and missed a blogmas, but i've been super busy and completely forgot to publish it! Rather annoyed! So, here is a purple smokey eye look I absolutely love and it's such a statement look, it's definitely a look I'm going to be doing more often!

Step 1. After I apply my foundation, bronzer, blush and pencil in my eyebrows I start off by applying my Urban Decay primer potion followed by using make up geek's Blacklight for the base eyeshadow.

Step 2. I then add Deep Purple from my Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made palette in the crease of my eye and blend until happy.

Step 3. Lastly I apply Metallic Plum also from the Self-Made palette, and apply that to the corners of my eyes blending in towards the middle of the lid to give it a smokey effect.

Step 4. Now for the bit I find tricky, fake eyelashes. They look so pretty but I find them difficult to stay on! But, I love these lengthening eyelashes from eylure they are very light and fluttery and don't look too noticeable so really complimented this look well.

Step 5. Mascara and eyeliner. I used Benefit They're Real Mascara on my top and bottom lashes, then Maybelline Matte Liquid Eyeliner to give my eyes a dramatic look and my Avon eye pencil on my water line to finish of the whole look.

Step 6. Finally, lipstick. I used Mac's Please Me, it's such a gorgeous subtle matte pink, all the attention is on my eyes and I don't want to be over dramatic with my lipstick as my eyes are the main attraction in this look.

And voila! My finished look! This is so easy to do, any purple shades would work great for this look. What other looks do you like? Who inspires you?

Winter Lipsticks | Blogmas | Day Eight

Winter is my favourite time of month, purely because I can rock the red and purple lipsticks during the day and not just for nights out! Here are my winter shades that I can't live without! Link on where to buy them are down below!

* My Ted Baker lipstick came as part of a set. I've left a link to the Ted Baker beauty range.

I'd love to know in the comments below what your winter lipsticks recommendations are, so I can hopefully try out new brands and shades!

Here I'm wearing Kate Moss in the shade 107. Definitely my favourite red lipstick I own.

Top 10 Favourites of 2014.

Ted Baker Purple Lipstick

In 2014 I didn't buy a lot of products like I usually do. So, thinking of 10 products I loved in 2014 was proven difficult but then I realised one thing, I just had to go to my handbag and the rest fell into place.

Make Up | Dark purple last year was my main makeup essential and I couldn't leave the house on a night out without having statement purple lips! I also received just lately the gorgeous shade 'Beauty Marked' and it quickly became my favourite eyeshadow owned, along with 'Soft & Gentle' which is the best highlighter I have used to date and get a lot of compliments when I use it.

Clothes & Handbag | I love to wear statement pieces and especially this winter I have loved wearing chunky boots and massive scarfs. I don't tend to wear bright colours so my tartan scarf is something I can't leave the house without. I think everyone should own one as it adds a pop of colour to every outfit.
My 'Cromia' Handbag is something I can't live without. I got this as a present from my parents when they went on holiday to Italy in June and I haven't stopped using it since. It's the perfect size and can fit all my main essentials I need daily. I can't find this bag online but definitely check out Cromia's website as you wont be disappointed.

Perfume | I have ranted and raved about wanting this perfume and finally for Christmas I received 'Daisy Dream'. I can't even begin to explain my love for this! It's smells so fresh and feminine and you should definitely go out and try it for yourself!

Books | 'Girl Online' by Zoe Sugg only came out on the 25th of November but it's by far one of my favourite books. I couldn't put this book down and sat up until 4am one morning as I had to see how it ended. Now that's a sign of a good book. I wont give the plot away so I'll leave you to read it for yourself.

Apple 5th Gen Ipod | Apple products are a hit and a miss with some people, you either love them or hate them. Myself on the other hand love their products. I can't live without my ipod, I take it everywhere with me not just for the music but also for the apps. Kim Kardashian's game 'Hollywood' is my favourite app of last year as there's something about being an A Lister that brings me back to play more.

What are your favourites of 2014?

Clinique Chubby Stick | Moisturizing lip colour balm

I received these little beauties for my Christmas and I couldn't contain my excitement! I'm in love with Clinique products but I've never owned their chubby sticks before!

(from top - bottom.
15. Pudgy Peony
16. Voluptuous Violet
11. Two Ton Tomato)

I may of got my hopes up a little though, even though the pink and red toned chubby stick stays put and looks amazing on my lips, the purple one, well, doesn't! I'm a huge fan of purple lips, I hate leaving on a night out without my statement lips so I thought this would be the same! It wasn't and I'm a little let down about it. As you can tell by the photo though, Pudgy Peony and Two Ton Tomato take to my skin but Voluptuous Violet doesn't. Don't get me wrong though, It might just not take on my lips, and you might be the lucky person on which it does! Let me know below if you've used it!

I got them in a 3 set from boots, but you can get the full sizes here for £17.

Dealing with hair problems.

Ever since i can remember my skin has been very sensitive and I've gone through so many products growing up, from medicated to high street brands. However i had no problems with my hair until 2011, i went through that phase of dying my hair silly colours and in the space of 4 months i went from brown and red, to purple, back to red and then my hair was so damaged it had to be dyed brown and blonde for my hair to recover, luckily though i returned to my natural hair colour, phew! (photos below.. cringe)

red and brown hair.

dark purple.

It didn't take a few weeks though for my hair to go back to the way it was before, it took many hair appointments and a lot of money for it to get fixed! Every 5 weeks i went and got the dye cut out my hair and my lovely long hair i had before went disgustingly thin and had to get a shoulder length do, which i wasn't happy about, but then again i did do it to myself!

After all that, i thought i had got rid of the worst of my hair drama, but no, i was wrong! I started to get a itchy scalp at the front of my head under my fringe, i checked and i noticed clumps of dry skin forming but i done the sensible thing of not scratching it as i didn't want to lose more hair, so i went to Tesco and bought T Gel, a shampoo for dry skin and which doctors can also prescribe you. It was my last hope, and thankfully it did work after 2 weeks! It does come back but more in the colder months so i have a bottle in my drawer to hand in case it decides to creep back up on me!

If you are starting to lose strands of hair, don't panic! Ease of hot appliances like hair straighteners, hair dryers and curlers, use heat protection and don't wash your hair to much as it can also cause hair loss! If you have the same problem as i do, buy T Gel or if your concerned visit a doctor! Don't assume the worst, it can get fixed!

Three Makeup Favourite's of the Month.

This month I have had three products which have stood out to me. I wanted to be a little more daring and make my dark winter wardrobe a little bit brighter and add that splash of colour by bright eye shadows. These three beauty products are Mac eyeshadow, Cranberry, Mac studio fix powder in NW15 and Sleek Palette, i Divine in Ultra Matte V1.

The Sleek palette is full of bright matte colours ranging from white to electric pink and yellow. These shadows give a great pigmentation, apply easy to the eyes and blend easy. Sleek palette's never fail and once you try them there's not going back! Also there products aren't tested on animals. You can but this exact palette by clicking here.

MAC, Cranberry is talked about so often in the blogging and youtubing world. For months I held off not buying it but temptation gave in and had to try the eye shadow that got talked about so much. Cranberry is a metallic purple it's all that really can describe it. It's blends so well and the pigmentation is incredible, as all MAC products are. It may be a little pricey but you can add this to your own MAC palette and create the palette of your dreams! Click here to pick up your favourite shadow now.

Many people may suffer from oily skin and can't go out and buy any foundation! You'll have to go through so many products and try to find one that wont make you break out and make your face look shiny! I had this problem and going through many many foundations I gave up hope of finding one that would finally stop making me break out. MAC studio fix caught my eye one day, a powder foundation that could solve so many peoples problems. Used this product for two months now and the results are amazing and is finally clearing up my skin. It may be £21.50 which can be pricey for most people but you might need to make that sacrifice for clearer skin. Click here to buy.

What are your winter essentials?

3 for 2 superdrug make up haul.

So just recently I purchased these 3 as in superdrug at the moment there is 3 for 2 on ALL make up! So I jumped at the chance and for now just bought these 3 as I need them for my Halloween look (which i will be doing a tutorial on, so keep an eye out). I'm going as a more modern Miss Edward Scissor hands so need a lot of browns and black eye shadow's for the look and darker nails.

MUA 'Undressed' Eye shadow palette.

I have one of MUA's palettes already and loved it, so i decided to go out and buy another as they are brilliant for only £4! I bought this mainly for my Halloween look but i'll be using this for other every day make up looks to! I adore the colours as i'm loving the more neutral colours at the moment! 9/12 are shimmer eye shadows and the other 3 are more of a matte! I will be doing make up tutorials soon using this palette on this blog, so keep an eye out for that! But at Superdrug now.
Barry M, Berry Cosmo.

I noticed this was a new Barry M nail polish and had to buy it! It's a great colour for those autumn/winter days approaching. I also bought this as it would add a little colour, just a tad, to my Halloween costume, and also to my winter wardrobe. It's a very deep purple and look gorgeous on, that is just one coat i put on in the above photo!

Barry M, Strawberry Milkshake.

I adore this! I've had heard a lot of good things about Barry M lip glosses so i thought i'd go and buy one, and one that i'd use a lot. I suit lighter lip gloss, so this was the one for me. Also, the name sounds super tasty! There isn't a photo with this, as the top one of it is pretty clear so you can see the shade of it. It's a very light pink and easy to apply. I'll be buying a lot more of these! Click here to buy.

Make up tutorials and fashion haul coming soon.

Baby Lips Review

My most recent purchase are these gorgeous lip balms by Maybelline called 'Baby Lips' which are £2.99 and you can find these in the likes of Superdrug and Boots. They have only recently arrived in the UK and they have hit it big! It literally took me a good few shops to find them in as they are sold out everywhere! There are 6 to collect and the only one i couldn't get my hands on was the Yellow one! But, i did manage to get the rest! I'll name them all for you and then go into a little detail on these must have lip products!

(from left to right)
Pink: 'Pink Punch'
Purple: 'Peach Kiss'
Blue: 'Hydrate'
Green: 'Mint Fresh'
Orange: 'Cherry Me'
( The Yellow one which i don't yet have is called, 'Intense Care').

All these lip balms do work the same for me! They are all moisturising and a easy size to just pick up and go! Each day i'll tend to pick up a different one and try it out! The only three with a flavour to them are, 'Peach kiss' which obviously tastes like peach, 'Mint Fresh' which is very minty, and 'Cherry Me' which is my favourite flavour and i literally just want to eat it! But, the one for me which i take to work with me every day is 'Hydrate' (blue). I work in a place where i need to go into huge freezers and Fridges a lot of the time and my lips chap so quickly due to the coldness, but the hydrate lip balm for me just works a complete treat! It really does do what the name says and hydrates your lips! I notice a difference straight away and can't stop telling people at work about them, hoping they will go out and buy them to! They are definitely one of my must have beauty products for winter!

Which one is your favourite? Let me know!

Make up storage idea!

So recently I started buying new things for my room, and whilst cleaning I realised I have a lot of make up and make up brushes just lying about and I never knew how to store them! I didn't want to store them away I wanted to show them on my dressing table as it would be easier access to them!

So a recent trip to ikea with my boyfriend and his family I had an absolute field day their! I still hadn't found any storage for them until u hit the outdoor/plants area. I loads of pretty pots from large to small, bright pink to white! I fell I'm love with these two white plant pots (shown below)  they are so pretty and go really well with my room as its quite a bright room with loads of shades of cream in it.

All my brushes fit snugly into these gorgeous pots and I also found the purple pot from whsmith, it's actually a pencil holder but I love the designs on it! Also I put my earrings on the pot to just brighten it up a bit without ruining the pot!

I hope you like my idea and if you have any please share them below!

White pots | ikea
Purple pot | whsmith
Earrings | forever 21 and new look.
Make up brushes | fearne cotton and Victoria Jackson.

Barry M nail polish haul.

This is a small haul on the few nail polish's i have collected over the last few weeks. I am i love with them and i know in superdrug at the moment there is a 3 for 2 offer, so get yours quick!

First of all these are the four i bought.

from left to right: magnetic polish, chameleon polish, cracked polish and gelly polish.

First of all i am going to start with the magnetic polish. This is gorgeous! i done a blog on it a few weeks ago, so go check it out for more details! But this is one of my favourite, it still amuses me how this nail polish can go different styles just by the type of magnet you get. Barry m has really stepped up it's game lately! Here's a picture below of the outcome.

2.  Chameleon nail polish.

I love this stuff, it comes out a pretty colour and looks wonderful on your nails. You apply three coats then you can design your on style onto your nails. The only problem i have is i haven't been able to work out how to use it yet, but when i do, i will post a blog on it!

3. Cracked nails.

I had seen this on so many people it's beyond me! So i thought i'd give it a little try, and it's the best buy i have had so far! You apply a base coat of your choice, then add this on top, you then see the magic happen and the cracks begin to appear! It amazes me! The photo below is of when i tried it out!

4. Gelly nails.

This is just a random buy as it was on offer and thought id try it out! I love it. You apply two coats and it comes out very shiny and pretty! Very plain but plain works right!?

These are usually £4.99 each but for three i got them for £7.99 which i thought was a really good bargain! I hope you like!
