Top 5 Nude Shades | Lipsticks & Lip Gloss

 (L-R | Please Me, Fabby & Snob)

When it comes to nude lipsticks, personally I find it hard to find the perfect one! I have so many deep reds, to purples which are almost identical, but to me, each one is slightly different. Just me? However, nude lipsticks come in so many shades which can go from a nice pale subtle shade to a dark pink which really doesn't suite me! I can spend hours in my local drugstore searching for a perfect nude lipstick but I always come out empty handed!

P.S. LOVE | New Primark Beauty Range.

When it comes to make up i'm very high maintenance and love spending money on the likes of MAC, Benefit and Chanel. So, when Primark released their new beauty range I was very intrigued as already I was seeing a lot of positive reviews from other beauty gurus and bloggers! I picked up a collection on which I'd use, sadly though I couldn't get my hands on the day and night eye palettes and I'll be waiting a while to try and get my hands on them as I don't live near a Primark! Maybe next time though! These products are price ranged between £1 to £1.50.. bargain! Here are a few of the bits I received and my views on them.

These Lip Stains are gorgeous! I'm always nervous about using lip stains in case i can't get the colour of my lips as i'm not allowed to wear bright lip colours to work. So, i test them out at weekends and i adore them! I team the red lip stain up with the red lip gloss i got which i've reviewed down below, and i team the pink lip stain up with my pink lip gloss from smashbox! If you want a long lasting colour then definitely try out lip stains they are completely worth the money.

I don't tend to wear lip gloss that much but this looked a gorgeous shade of dark red so i thought I'd give it a go! I only wear this when I have my red lip stain on as without I feel like this falls off my lips a lot quicker, but after all it is lip gloss and I'm more of a lipstick kind of girl!

When it comes to eye liners I must own at least, about 20! I'm obsessed and can't leave the house without wearing it! So adding these two black eye liners to my collection and getting a pencil sharpener with it was luck as i lost my pencil sharpener for my eye liners! It applies easy to my water line and it lasts for hours, i do have to apply it at least twice a day!

Volumising mascara is my best friend, I have quite short eye lashes and also having blonde eye lashes becomes such a problem for me! I can apply as much mascara as I like but still some lashes peak through! So trying this mascara for a £1 i was pretty sure the results were going to be a nightmare . Boy, was I wrong! This leaves my eyes looking fabulous and covers ever single eye lash, my only moan is that I wish it was a waterproof volumising mascara, but that's the reason why i bought the waterproof mascara. (below)

I'm loving this. I love the thick applicator and I coat this on after I put on the volumising mascara, above. This is a little beauty in my eyes.

Any other Primark beauty products which you recommend?

Victoria Jackson make up haul.

Everyone raves about, Mac, Benefit, Inglot etc. But the make up brand i have a lot of and i use in my everyday make up routine is, Victoria Jackson. If you guys haven't heard of her before, she has a website and is based in the USA but i'd definitely go and check it out! So i'm going to show you my make up palettes i have and here's hoping you will love them as much as i do and purchase some!

So this was one of the first palettes i received and it's my favourite out the lot of them! It has more natural colours and a few odd darker. They are really pigmented and what's also great about this palette is that you got a eye liner and mascara with it! In the next few weeks i'm going to be doing some make up looks using this palette so keep an eye out for that!

swatches of palette above (the first 3 are very light but you can just make them out)

Now, i haven't used this as much as i wanted to as i tend to use lipsticks more than lipglosses but i do use then when i want to tone down a brighter lipstick and even it out to the colour my skin tone matches. So i really only use this palette for that, and that alone! But this would be good for people who are into glosses and want something a little different.

swatches of the lip gloss palette

This is the bronzer i always use on a night out, i have two of these as i love them so much! They are just the perfect shade for my skin, not to in your face but not to light either! I'd go and check them out. They definitely wont disappoint!

I got this palette and another (which will be down below) in a set, Day and Night. This is the night time palette. More darker eye shadows, blusher and lips. I really do love this but i haven't been brave to wear dark purples out yet. But, i'm going to start using all my high end make up more, so a make up look will definitely be on the cards using this palette! (LEFT TO RIGHT)
  • highlight
  • three purple eye shadows
  • blusher
  • two red lip glosses

This is the 'day time' palette. As you can tell, i have used this A LOT. I haven't really used it for the past 4 months but this used to get a lot before then! The blusher is just the right colour for me and i don't want to finish it as i can't find another one i love as much as that! The three eye shadows are 2 pinks and a black. I used to blend those three constantly together to give a smokey eye look. (LEFT TO RIGHT)

  • Bronzer
  • 2 pink and 1 black eye shadow
  • blusher
  • 2 pink lip glosses

Finally, last but not least. My large palette. Now, must admit, i found this at the make of my make up drawer about a month ago and can't believe i forgot about it! The four eye shadows are totally me at the moment as i'm going for a more nude look on my eyes! I get a lot of use out of the blushers at the moment to and use them daily but as for the poor lip glosses i just feel like i neglect them as i'm just not a fan of them! If i could take them out of it and pass it on to someone else, i would! You may be wondering why there are three brushes missing, but that's because i took them out and put them in my make up pot. I don't tend to use brushes i get with sets and use my own!

I hope you guys enjoyed this VERY long haul. Please check out her stuff, it's incredible!

Elf beauty haul! (Separated into 3 parts)

I recently came across a website called, elf.  Elf stands for 'eyes, lips and face', clever huh? And it sells affordable make up which ranges from £1.50 to £30. It's an absolute bargain! I'm in love with this website and bought a few things to try out first! I would of bought more but I would of bought everything off the website and my bank balance wouldn't be to happy if i had! I have separated my haul into three parts as there is a few photos and don't want to confuse a lot of you.

I'm going to do these products in categories of what they are!  So, ill start off with the lip glosses bought! These are very similar packaging to the Clinique chubby sticks which are £17/£22! I bought mine for £2.50! Which I thought was a complete bargain! I obviously done my research before hand about these beautiful glosses but decided I'd trust my own advice and bought them myself!  I bought two and they are called, ' coco loco' and ' flirty and girly'. ( photos below)

(Right, 'flirty and girly' and left ' coco loco')

The 'flirty and girly' lip gloss stick is my favourite! It is pink and has a hint of shimmer/glitter through the gloss! It applies so easily and you notice the difference straight away! It's easier to apply as its a stick and fills more of your lip faster and quicker than a normal lipstick would with a small wand! 'Coco loco' may not be my favourite but it is still a beautiful shade! I'd say its quite light and more brown/pink than the other gloss! It's more a mature colour so would be great even for wearing to work just for that little hint of shine on your lips, not to vibrant but you still feel more confident with a colour on your lips! Below are some skin testers of the products!

'Coco loco'

'Flirty and girly'

Why not go on my next blog post for the 'elf highlighting stick' you are going to love it! ;)

Urban decay | naked 2 palette

Today I am doing a review on the 'Urban Decay, Naked 2 palette'. For a long time now I have wanted this and now I finally have my hands on one, I can tell you all about this amazing product!

This palette for starters is very sturdy, the better packaging the more people it will attract and it definitely attracted me, along with the 12 gorgeous nude/dark shades you get in it! Plus as a bonus I got a free lipgloss which I'd also recommend, it tingles when you apply the pink shade and goes on very easy and has a great lasting effect!

Next I will go onto the eye shadows. Out of every eye palette I own, and I do own a lot of them! This has to be my favourite by far! That amazing I didn't want to use it at first as it was just to pretty to use! But, obviously I did use it in the end and my gosh I'm glad I did! The shadows apply on very easy with the brush/blending brush you get in the palette. My three favourites at the moment are, half baked, snakebite and ydk! The three blending together suit my eye perfectly! I'd definitely give it a go!

I haven't tried out any different techniques yet with the other shadows, but I am definitely going to be! And in the upcoming weeks will be putting up different blog posts on my eyes with the different shades! I am excited as you are to see what wonderful and creative ways I can use this beautiful platte!
